This study aims to analyze the management of character education among santri at SMPS Dayah Tahsinul Qur’an Pidie. The background of this research lies in the growing need for an integrated approach to Islamic education that not only emphasizes cognitive aspects but also shapes students’ moral and spiritual integrity. Character education in Islamic boarding schools (dayah) serves as a foundation for developing students with strong religious values, discipline, and social awareness. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the principal, teachers, and santri as key informants.
The findings reveal that character education management at SMPS Dayah Tahsinul Qur’an Pidie is implemented through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning process includes the integration of Islamic values into the curriculum and extracurricular activities. The implementation focuses on habituation, example-based learning, and the creation of a religious school environment. Evaluation is conducted continuously through behavioral observation and guidance from teachers and religious mentors. The study concludes that effective management of character education in dayah requires collaborative leadership, consistent role modeling, and strong institutional support to foster holistic development of santri.
