Strategi Kepemimpinan Teungku dalam Pengelolaan Pendidikan di Dayah Zawiyatal Huda Al-Aziziyah (ZADA), Kecamatan Tripa Makmur, Kabupaten Nagan Raya

Abstract

Teungku leadership plays a pivotal role in determining the success of educational management in dayah, particularly in institutions that are still in their developmental stage and operate under limited resources. This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies employed by the Teungku in managing education at Dayah Zawiyatal Huda Al-Aziziyah (ZADA), Tripa Makmur District, Nagan Raya Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach using a field research design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the Teungku (head of the dayah), teachers, administrative staff, students, and community leaders. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which consists of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data credibility was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the Teungku's leadership strategy is implemented through the formulation of a clear educational vision and mission, the empowerment of teachers based on voluntary service, the optimization of community participation, the establishment of collaborative partnerships, and the effective management of available resources despite financial constraints. Furthermore, the leadership model emphasizes exemplary conduct, deliberative decision-making, persuasive communication, and participatory management, which have contributed to maintaining the continuity of educational activities and strengthening public trust in the institution. This study concludes that adaptive, collaborative, and value-based Teungku leadership constitutes a fundamental factor in ensuring the sustainability of educational management at Dayah ZADA and may serve as a practical model for the development of other Islamic boarding schools facing similar institutional challenges.
