Abstract

This study examines Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a strategic instrument for shaping the religious character of the younger generation in the era of globalization. The rapid development of information technology and socio-cultural transformation has significantly influenced the moral and spiritual dimensions of youth life. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods through critical analysis of books, scientific journals, and relevant regulations. The findings indicate that Islamic Religious Education plays a fundamental role in internalizing religious values through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The implementation of exemplary teaching, religious habituation, integration of school religious culture, and contextual-digital approaches strengthens students’ moral awareness and spiritual resilience. The study concludes that strengthening Islamic Religious Education is essential for developing morally responsible and spiritually grounded youth capable of responding to global challenges.
