This study aims to examine the character-building process and monitoring system implemented in Islamic boarding school-based education at Misbahul Huda and Hj. Maryam & H. M. Saman Islamic Boarding Schools in Indrajaya District, Pidie Regency. Character education is integrated through intraculicular, extracurricular, and cocurricular activities. These schools have a distinctive value by maintaining traditional pesantren culture while adapting to their vision, mission, and educational goals, which focus on instilling religious values to develop students’ noble character (akhlaqul karimah). This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design as part of descriptive research. The study was conducted at both Islamic boarding schools in Pidie Regency. Data were collected through participatory observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The findings show that character building is implemented based on management functions, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring, which are integrated into intraculicular, extracurricular, and cocurricular activities. The character values emphasized include religiosity, honesty, discipline, independence, nationalism, social care, and responsibility. Monitoring and evaluation are conducted by different stakeholders depending on the activity. The principal supervises intraculicular activities, the vice principal for student affairs manages cocurricular supervision, and extracurricular activities are guided by respective teachers. The evaluation process includes developing indicators, designing instruments, summarizing results, analyzing outcomes, and conducting follow-up actions.
