This study aims to analyze the curriculum management of kitab kuning–based learning at Dayah Jamiah Al-Aziziyah, including planning, implementation, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The data were analyzed descriptively using an inductive approach. The findings indicate that the curriculum at Dayah Jamiah Al-Aziziyah is adapted from its parent pesantren and emphasizes the study of kitab kuning. The learning system is structured hierarchically based on students’ competencies, starting from basic to advanced materials. Students are required to master supporting disciplines such as nahwu (Arabic grammar), saraf (morphology), mantiq (logic), and usul fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence) as foundational knowledge for understanding more complex texts. Supporting factors include the availability of tutors and the contribution of qualified teachers, while inhibiting factors involve certain limitations in implementation that require continuous evaluation. In conclusion, the curriculum management of kitab kuning–based learning at the dayah has been implemented effectively, although further improvements are still needed. This study is expected to provide both theoretical and practical contributions to curriculum development in Islamic boarding schools.
