Abstract

 

Human resources are the main aspect of education that must be managed through systematic and well-planned stages. Human Resource Management (HRM) serves as an essential instrument for educational institutions in improving teacher quality as part of enhancing overall educational quality. This study aims to describe the implementation of human resource management in developing teacher quality at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sigli and to examine the quality of teachers at the institution. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative technique through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that human resource management at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sigli has been implemented through several stages, namely planning, organizing/directing, and teacher development. This management plays a significant role in supporting the improvement of teacher quality and overall madrasah performance. In addition, the madrasah has provided various professional development facilities for teachers, such as training programs and competency enhancement activities. Teachers have also been able to develop instructional methods that are adapted to students’ needs, making the learning process more effective. In conclusion, the implementation of human resource management at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sigli significantly contributes to improving teacher quality. The better the quality of teachers, the stronger the reputation and quality of the madrasah.
